Winter RoundUP: Anchor Charts + Bulletin Boards
Just how cold is it going to get? We turned on our heat for the first time in our new home here in Vero Beach, FL. The good news? It works! Can't believe that we made it till January before we needed it. Yup. That's why we moved down amid the palm trees! I thought I'd do some homework for you and round up lots of my previous 'winter' articles into one location for your ease at finding things from my archives.
Just click on the picture to go to the original article with all of the ideas spelled out. BTW: I take these pictures on my Author-Illustrator School Visits all across the country. I'm so happy to share the excellence-in-education that I observe. There's a lot here. Winter Anchor Charts. Winter Bulletin Boards. Winter Craft Activities. ENJOY!
Let start with a RoundUP of 7 Anchor Charts suitable for winter, that keeps growing.

***Here's another new one with sentence strips for the winter poem. I'll have to go back and add him to the growing collection above.
These seven choices are also within the UBBER RoundUP I created with over 100+ Anchor Charts all in one spot. If you haven't seen that collection -- with how people 'organize' their anchor charts, you need to go back and take a look at that one! Start saving your hangers!
Now. Let's get started with LOTS of Snowman ideas!
How about this simple one.
Paper bag.
Simple shape review: Square, Rectangle, Circle, Triangle!
Create a sculpture or use it as a gift bag: you choose.
Nothing's cuter than this snowman from a painted footprint. That would be a perfect winter keepsake for the wittle bitty ones. Personalize with different scarves.
If you're looking for cute penguin ideas, click the picture above.
I saw this glorious artwork on my travels.
I'll have to go back and add it to the penguins above.
If you're looking for snowflake inspiration click on the pic below!
This time last year I had a WINTER FUN RoundUP as well.
If you don't have enough above, go digging back even further.
Here's a peek at my last school visit of 2013.
Yup. We have fun. Sing. Dance. Read/sing/sign my picture books.
Let's just say, it's an ACTIVE author-visit.
I'm so grateful for each and every pin.
That's the way that the majority of folks 'find' me.
Would you go back and pin your favorite? It's a HUGE help!
STAY WARM! Be creative! Learn a lot!
Thanks for sharing these fabulous ideas!
