Whitefish Bay B&B

After being inspired by the creativity on display at Woodwalk, and giggling over the possibilities of the disco ball suspended in their barn.... we decided to explore further and track down the gallery at Whitefish Bay. One quick cross peninsula roar on Plum Bottom Road and we're on the farm and in awe of the garden plots all around the house and barn gallery. The work on display consisted of numerous photographs and hand woven fiber art. The flowers captivated my heart and I attempted to capture them with my lens. Maybe it's time that I print out some of my flowers and sunsets? Hmmmm. I could start with the first picture above. IMHO: Much of the consideration of a photograph becoming 'art' comes from the presentation: matting and framing give credence to the composition.

The Grounds at the Inn

Spring is still unfolding here in central-East Pennsylvania. We have a lovely view of this gazebo right out our window. I think the lillies of the valley are my favorite shot of this site. So delicate. So simple. So sweet.

A Peek around the Inn

Take a peek around the inside of this historic spot. We had THE most amazing meal for dinner tonight! Giles the waiter made it memorable on so very many levels. He surprised us with an opening 'amuse boucher' serving of shrimp atop a bed of exotic strawberry mixture...... followed by an intermetzo of lemon sorbet. This was all before the soup was served!! Seriously memorable.

Inn at Turkey Hill, PA

Tomorrow is the 45th Annual Bloomsburg University Reading Conference. I'm so excited to be a part of such an exciting program. I get to be one of the 'featured speakers' tomorrow!! Take a look at where they have plunked us!! Is this too good to be true? It's a Bed and Breakfast Inn. Our room is just delightful. (Dearest hubby Allen did all of the driving and will do all of the heavy lifting tomorrow..... he did get in a round of golf this afternoon -- so it hasn't been all work for him.)
