Woodwalk Gallery
Today was like a Fairy Tale. Princess and Knight mount their green metal, motorized steed and zoom off thru the isle of glory in search of a 'wondermous' day. The worship service was uplifting. The brunch familiarly comforting. Then off in search of the Woodwalk Gallery. We started out on the correct road, according to our memory....... but what delight presented itself as we allowed ourselves to get lost. Not dramatically lost, just wandering-new-roads lost. Having explored this 56 mile long peninsula off and on over the past 15 years -- you'd think we'd know our way around and have exhausted all of the possibilities. Not so.
The ride up and then down County Road B is heaven-on-earth..... particularly so, on a glorious blue sky day such as today. After exploring the public beach of a county park that we didn't know existed we eventurally rolled onto the historic grounds of the Woodwalk. What a delight and treasure to talk to the artist-in-residence/owner at length upon our eventual arrival. She has such a vision. She and her husband have 'reclaimed and rebuilt' a barn over a century old and created an amazing gallery thru her vision and dedication..... displaying her own ethereal-atmostpheric artwork along with the creations of over 40 other artists.
Certainly worth getting lost in order to find.
