Good-bye Vegas 2010
Just a few parting memories before we move on with the rest of the summer. HURRAY!! HURRAY!! HURRAY!! Vegas was my first cross-country adventure on my own since my January surgery. I hit the magic 6 month anniversary surrounded by slot machines. The great news is that I did it!! I paced myself. I rationed my energy. I made it back to my room each night and treated myself to room service, curled up with my laptop for a bit and snoodled off. No shows. No night-life. No casinos. Nope this wasn't a vacation, but a working trip.
Then there's the evidence of my window remote, for the skeptics in our midst -- Sheer Roman Shade: raise & lower, Drapery: open & close. I kid you not!! Now you have the proof! That will indeed be a memorable first and one that will be savored for quite some time. My first window covering remote experience. Vegas. Venetian. Friends of ZB.
That last one is the gift shop at the airport...... so I can 'pretend' to have seen the iconic Vegas sign. This is my third Vegas trip and I still have yet to experience any 'tourist' highlights. Although I must say that four nights in the Venetian goes a long way to making memories and I will be forever grateful.
