HAPPY SUNDAY + WELCOME!
What a thrill to pull this 'RoundUP' together.
My chapter as an Elementary Art teacher was a favorite.
Now I make my rounds to elementary schools....
visiting as an Author/Illustrator, sharing my picture book illustrations.
I've been saving these Art Room photos for today!
My hope is to offer you inspiration. Let's get going.
[These next several photos are from my earlier series on organization in general. I have transported them all over here for your ease of reference.]

We will start to wrap up today with an invitation to think about the Annual Art Show! I have already decided that next Sunday I will have a RoundUP of my favorite Art Projects. The ones that I have been fortunate to see on my travels. Come back a week from today. I know you'll be inspired!
I am also the 'editor-in-chief' over at PreK+K Sharing. I wrote an article earlier this year that is our number 2 article of all time..... which just flabbergasts me. Apparently this is still a concept that is foreign to many. Please refer your non-Art colleagues or parents to this article to help them grasp the differences and benefits of open ended exploration.

Here's a peek at all three of my picture books. I L-O-N-G for art teachers to direct their students in response to my illustrations.

You know how all of the kindergarten and classroom teachers have linkie parties for their rooms? How about we launch an ART ROOM Link up? Add your blog article that shares the 'look' of your Art Room, Art Center, Art Organization Ideas... I'm not picky -- if it has to do with ART it will be welcome. It would be super sweet if you'd give me a backlink (LUV LUV LUV those backlinks!)
Here are some other ARTS' articles -- from the future -- that I think you'll find 'helpful'.
A HUGE RoundUP of Children's Art Responses to Classic Eric Carle picture books.
Grand (art room) slam, out if the park fabulous! Carolyn
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn. You're the best cheerleader!
DeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all the visual inspiration. Am currently looking for new classroom seating and I am really curious to know where the cube art stools come from in your classroom set up pics. Any idea? Thanks a lot!
