It's good to be amidst the very friends that taught me the Israeli folk dance: "Achshav!" My favorite part is still the turning around: 'tumba, tumba, tumba' and this group had a ball dancing together. It was right about this point that I realized I missed my old friends, and I dare say that they may have missed me a tad bit as well. Once everyone got their eyes closed it was time to pop out an old favorite -- back by special request, 'Calamity Sam' reminding everyone, 'ya gotta love me, for who I am.'
Good golly, Miss Molly. There really IS a rainbow within reach!! I couldn't have posed this picture to make it any more amazing than it actually is! These are the little pips & goosh-bundles of fun.
The week of the Young Child traveling show makes it's way back to the Bexley JCC. To add extra delight to my visit, they also declared that it was Wear Your Jammies to School Day!!
None of us could remember how long it had been since I provided weekly sessions of music for all of the classes at the J. Three years? Four years?? Five years??? We all agreed that it had been tooooo long since I've been there. It felt like old home days in more ways than one. Lots of familiar faces in the staff...... not one familiar child's face. Lots of change over in the children in a few years time.
At the end of our program morning, there was plenty of time for muggin' it for the camera. It was an extra-special morning in that we had the attendance & participation of quite a few parents: moms and dads!
And you know how I feel about twins! These 17 month old girlie-girls were on the go, BIG time. What fun to be able to reach out to share my journey with these families. Young and even younger kiddos. Happy smiles. Happy memories. Happy times.
*****They really knew how to make me feel like a celebrity. Thank you, one and all. An extreme thanks to Mr. Glen for all of your support today. Your head-set was awesome & I'm especially grateful for all of the pictures you took to document our time together..... but those special songs of welcome and gratitude were AWESOME!!
Oh my!! You can't even see those happily striped mats anymore, can you?? We've filled the room to capacity. Goldie is a big hit with the second crew. Time flies when you're having fun.
Our first performance of the morning gets underway with instructions given to my very attentive participants. Before you know it we're into "Freezing Frozen" and all the funny faces we can imagine. This first crew was made up of lots of Head Start children. What a happy bunch of singers & dancers!!
