I've had the amazing good fortune to have teachers direct their students to make COLOSSAL 'bulletin boards' of collaboration in response to my picture books. The one captured above is during my time on Long Island at a Kindergarten campus in Amityville. Their cooperative quilt is in response to my first book, "You're Wonderful."
Here's a HUMONGOUS response in Illinois to my newest book, "Red, White and Blue." This amazing work was created in Illinois under the direction of Carie-the-Kindergarten Teacher.
Have I told you recently how grateful I am for those of you who are able to pin directly from my blog? Most of my readers come from Pinterest, so its a HUGE help to me, for you to pin directly from an article here. I realize that I messed up my blog's html-code and that you can't get directly from here to Pinterest: AKKKKKKK!!!!! If I knew how to fix it I would. In the meantime I rely on your pinning to help be my ambassador. Please tweet and Google+ if you are capable in those formats!
Will you pin your favorite? Share this excellence that I observe to inspire your professional peers. THANKS!
I have just opened a little store at Teachers Pay Teachers, where I am uploading my original songs for children as Mp3's in zipped files. Come get your freebie and enjoy exploring!

So many ideas! I love that almost a whole school year is being represented by bulletin boards here! How neat! I really love the John Denver lyrics (it will be stuck in my head for awhile)! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your encouragement! Both of the bulletin boards for the John Denver lyrics were created for a school visit by the husband + wife team of illustrators. Christopher Canyon is the genius behind the picture book versions of the Denver songs. They are such amazing people. I had a chance to visit with them at length over the Fourth of July!!!
