#TeacherFriends Twitter Chat 2/16 Dr. Carolyn Hayes #NSTA Pres: SCIENCE!

Planning ahead for our Tuesday Twitter Chat on Feb 16th!
Mark your calendar now and set an alarm on your phone.
This is a chat you will want to attend in real-time.

We have the amazing opportunity to chat-in-person with
Dr. Carolyn Hayes,
current president of NSTA! {National Science Teachers Association}

Reading Dr. Hayes bio is like a who's who in the science world.
Check out her entire bio at the NSTA website.

Our weekly tradition at #TeacherFriends is to have 5 questions of discussion through out our hour together. We follow the 'open-book' format so that you can plan ahead and stay focused when the chat gets busy. Trust me. It will get busy. Here is the outline for our chat on Tuesday, February 16th.

Please make note that we chat in the 9:00 PM hour in the Eastern Standard time zone.
You are MOST welcome to schedule your responses to the questions above.
You can schedule tweets to the minute using Tweetdeck (for FREE!)

Just be sure to schedule your tweets in the minute FOLLOWING the Q!
Also be certain that you account for the time zone differentiation.

When I started #TeacherFriends, it was intended as a warm, supportive starting point for teachers to learn the ropes at Twitter.
From the very beginning, we have offered incentives {#PRIZES} to encourage participation.

We have had the ongoing support of our dear colleagues over at ESGI Software from the very beginning.

One of our lucky participants will receive a year's license of the ESGI program!
This is an incredible opportunity to use a $200 valued license for 365 days and I'm  just betting that it will change your world.

If you have been wanting to try ESGI and aren't selected, you are always welcome to use my affiliate referral code:
you get the program at a savings and I benefit financially in the process as well!
*WIN/WIN*

I will be giving away a copy of my
"Pollywog" song and digital support files.

***In order to be eligible to win all of the prizes of the evening,
you enter your name and contact info on our Google Doc that will be tweeted throughout the evening. You just need to enter once to be eligible for ALL prizes.

We have an exciting slate of upcoming
#GuestEduCelebrities
scheduled for the coming weeks.

Make note. Plan to attend.

It takes a village to keep a weekly chat up-to-the-minute.
I'm exceedingly grateful to my two fellow hosts for the amazing commitment they have made over the last 20 months to keep us operational.

Be sure that you're following all three of us.
I moderate (@Kweezlequeen) and
Maggie (@MaggiesKinder) creates the archive and
Kristen (@fuzzlady77) supervises prize selection!

***In case you're still a Twitter "Newbie" we begin gathering 30 minutes early at 8:30 EST to help support your learning process. You're welcome to wade in during our EarlyBirds portion of the evening for a slower pace and a lot of support and encouragement.

The only real RULE at #TeacherFriends is to use our hashtag in EVERY tweet, so that we can see you.
