Weather + Seasons Project RoundUP

Weather + Season Project RoundUP for Early Elementary at RainbowsWithinReach

WEATHER AND SEASONS ROUNDUP

Today. In real life. July 28th we are in northern WI at our summer haven-home. The forecast predicts that the high for the day will reach 60 degrees. You heard me right. We turned on our heat last night! I have on a fleece cardigan. Oh. It's raining, too. Like BIG-time raining.

Seems like the kind of day perfect for one of my ULTRA Theme RoundUPs. I've spent the day culling through my memory cards in search of weather goodies. That led me also to discover some images that relate to 'seasons' and it seems helpful to keep them all here together.

Weather Map of the Country in Kindergarten Classroom

While I was making my Author-Illustrator school visit rounds across WI late this spring, I found a Kindergarten classroom set up with its own weather station! They had an 'old-school' video camera and the kiddos 'reported' the weather across the country for film. The map above is their backdrop to design each day's specifics -- complete with high and low fronts.

Let's get started with some descriptive words for weather.

Hopefully this has given you some new ideas for the year ahead.

As always, it would be such a big help if you could pin your favorites.
The majority of my visitors come via Pinterest.

Hope that your planning-phase to return to the classroom is exciting.
