Preschool is all about getting control of the materials. 
Can you get a sense of how much 'glue' was used to affix these happy little pieces? 
What is it about glue that lends it to 'the big squeeze'???

Here's a whole batch of Kindergarten Gingerbread People hanging on the bulletin board! My favorite part of this work are the bits and bobs that personalize each one.... a button here. A fancy hat there. Snazzy shoes.

There are so many wonderful things to say about gingerbread projects. 

1. You can tie it into literature studies and compare + contrast the various versions of the folk tales.
2.  You could make a graph and find the favorite version. 
3. These projects demonstrate from preschool to first grade how students can gain mastery and control over their work (developing those fine motor skills.) 
4. The 'simple template' format of the ginger-person lends itself to easy exploration of the human form, by simplifying and providing the basic outline, which guarantees a level of success!
