I went back into my memory card from last year.
All of these turkeys today are from my two day residency in New York last year in the Johnstown area, working with the children and staff of the Head Start program across their county. LUV LUV LUV these turkey feathers created by wee, little hands! What a great project to practice the fine motor skills of scissor effort.
Any time you have a project with a paper plate -- you have a high degree of success for a low investment of expense. These wreaths were obviously displayed on the classroom windows.
I think it's great to see where the children have placed the turkey 'heads' that are pre-cut by an adult. It doesn't matter at all to the finished outcome.
Yeah!
Teachers have given the children latitude to create their own projects with their own capability and insight.

Here's a HUGE turkey that features feathers of open-ended art paintings for the feathers. You can see that it took up the entire wall (next to the door.)
