Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Picture the four of us in the car: Sheila, her husband, his mom and moi. They have been on these same roads from decade to decade, appreciative, but used to the vistas. They are so familiar with the road that they can say, now Debbie, just as soon as we go around this next bend there are going to be some beautiful views of............. get ready, you'll love this............ here it is................. What a gift. Sheila has this whole adventure planned out from the very beginning. She's asked her hubby to drive. He's arranged his calendar to participate. They've asked their mom who never tires of the trip.
In addition to the scenic nature of the snowfall, the weather is perfect for reducing the number of other travelers on the road. We don't have to share. The views for the most part are ours alone. We have the luxury of pulling to the side of the road, (because our chauffeur has the patience of a saint) in little wide spots along the shoulder and letting me hop in and out and in and out and in and out of the car. This particular series of shots I ran crossed the road to catch the meandering stream. Serpentine stream. Glory, glory, glory, glory. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD!!
