Geese Herald September

The seasons are in the midst of change. Look anywhere for the clues. These Canadians are now lingering in their travels and can be found in great gatherings all about -- it's as tho they're having an annual convention here in Door County. These lovlies were caught honking and sqwaaking in sunny Ephraim. It was amazing to watch them interact. At times they moved as one -- to the water or away. Choreographed in unison. Speaking to one another. I felt like I was observing the original: "Duck, Duck, GOOSE!"

Time for playgrounds round the countryside to resound with four square & red light/green light. "Red Rover, Red Rover send Debbie right over." (Do they still play those old standards?) The backpacks are everywhere, too. The aisles are filled with school supplies. Pencils are sharpened. The forms are filled out. New bulletin boards are prepared. Lesson plans are readied. The bell rings. Let the learning begin, all over again!!
